Global premium health appliance leader Osim Korea (CEO Choi Ho-geun) announced the domestic launch of the massage chair uLove 3 (model number OS-8218).
The uLove 3 stands out with its exterior design, co-designed with the world-renowned automotive design house Pininfarina. This is because the renowned industrial design company Pininfarina, famous for creating world-class luxury cars such as Ferrari, Maserati, and Bentley, contributed its sensibility.
The intuitive and sophisticated control panel that looks as if the interior of a luxury car has been directly transplanted, the seat design reminiscent of a high-end sports car, the side design inspired by the silhouette of the moon, and various exterior design elements such as the carbon fiber touch and brushed metal texture on the product’s surface all reflect Pininfarina’s craftsmanship.
Attention was paid even to the back of the product, making it blend well with the surrounding environment like an interior furniture piece even when placed in the middle of the living room. It also greatly improved space utilization by requiring only a 10cm gap from the wall when installed against it. The colors are available in red, brown, and black.
The stress management function utilizing AI also stands out. AI biosensor technology developed by Dr. Thomas Burdon of Stanford University School of Medicine measures heart rate, respiration rate, and heart rate variability, quantifies daily changing stress levels through an AI biometric algorithm, and provides customized massage programs to enable continuous stress management.
Osim’s unique massage technique, V-Hand™ Plus massage, reproduces the agile and delicate touch of a professional masseuse, delivering vivid kneading and grip massages. Additionally, the enhanced design of rollers rotating 720º in all directions allows for strong yet natural acupressure following the contours of the human body without unnatural movements.
The 4-Hand™ Plus massage differs from conventional massage chairs that use a single mechanism to continuously massage from the neck to the hips; it uses two mechanisms to simultaneously massage the upper body’s center and the lower body’s hip center from both sides, recreating a premium spa massage by two therapists. Other features include calf & foot reflexology massage, upper and lower body heating functions, and all of Osim’s top-tier technologies.
Using Bluetooth and an app, stress management, posture adjustment, massage intensity control, and program selection are conducted through Osim’s wellbeing app, allowing consumers to refresh their experience with upgraded massage programs favored by recent users.
The massage programs are tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of age groups, from teenagers to the elderly, making it suitable for all family members.
The uLove 3 has also obtained ACA (American Chiropractic Association) certification. The ACA is a globally authoritative chiropractic organization in the United States that issues certificates after strict verification and evaluation of a product’s positive effects on spinal health, excellent quality, and safety assurance. The certified models include uLove 3 (OS-8218), uDream (OS-8208), uLove 2S (OS-888S), and uDivine V2 (OS-8212), totaling four. Osim’s massage chairs are known to be the only products certified by the ACA not only in Korea but worldwide.
