Historical Drama 'Seogando Baram Sori' at Imcheonggak from the 6th... Tracing Independence Activist Seokju Lee Sang-ryong's Footsteps! The historical drama "Seogando Baram Sori" will be performed at Imcheonggak starting from the 6th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] The live-action historical drama "Seogando Baram Sori," vividly depicting the independence movement led by Seokju Lee Sang-ryong, the first Prime Minister of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea, will be held at Imcheonggak starting from the 6th.


"Seogando Baram Sori" is part of the Cultural Heritage Administration's "2022 Traditional Houses and Ancestral Homes Utilization Project" and will be performed at 7:30 PM on five days: August 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, and 15th, using the beautiful real scenery of Imcheonggak as the stage.


The drama fully captures the history of the independence movement, set against the backdrop of Seokju's exile to Manchuria and the Shinheung Military Academy, which trained thousands of independence fighters.

Hosted by Andong City and organized by the nonprofit organization "Andong Cultural Keepers," this historical drama features innovative local actors who will vividly portray Seokju's independence movement and the lives of one million compatriots in the Manchurian plains.


The admission fee is 5,000 won, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the audience is limited to fewer than 100 people. Therefore, advance reservations must be made through the Andong Cultural Keepers website or by phone.


A city official said, "We hope that watching this play, which vividly unfolds Seokju's independence movement, will help dispel the summer heat of the night," adding, "It will be a time to fully feel patriotism and love for the nation while learning about the spirit of independence from a prestigious family that devoted everything they had."
