LG Uplus Launches GeForce Now Plan 'Ultra12' at 9,900 KRW per Month

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] LG Uplus announced on the 2nd that it has launched a new membership called ‘Ultra12,’ which allows users to access its cloud gaming service ‘GeForce NOW’ for 9,900 KRW per month (VAT included).

GeForce NOW is a cloud gaming service first introduced worldwide in September 2019 through a partnership between LG Uplus and NVIDIA. It applies ‘ray tracing’ technology that provides realistic graphics, allowing users to enjoy over 400 popular online and high-spec games such as Lost Ark, Genshin Impact, Black Desert, and ArcheAge.

Ultra12 is a subscription membership product that grants priority access for the first 12 hours of gameplay. It guarantees up to 3 hours of continuous play per game session, after which users can reconnect to continue playing. There is no limit on the number of connections. Last year, the introduction of the Basic membership, which allows free use of GeForce NOW, led to a surge in the number of gamers.

LG Uplus plans to expand server capacity within the year and support ‘GeForce NOW RTX 3080’ to provide 4K-level gaming services.

Son Min-seon, Head of LG Uplus Game/Home Training Platform Tribe (Executive Director), said, “Ultra12 is a product that significantly lowers the cost burden for casual gamers.”
