[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, criticized Bae Hyun-jin, a senior member of the People Power Party who announced her resignation from the Supreme Council, as an "undead" for attending the vote to convene the National Committee for the transition to an emergency response committee.
On the day, Lee said, "The person who said in a live voice on July 29, 'I resign from the Supreme Council today,' is holding a vote on August 2, claiming there is a lack of quorum."
On July 29, Senior Council Member Bae abruptly announced her resignation from the Supreme Council. However, Bae attended the People Power Party Supreme Council meeting on August 2 and cast a vote in favor of convening the National Committee to launch the emergency response committee, citing reasons such as her resignation letter not being accepted.
Regarding this, Lee said, "Of course, undead also appear in The Lord of the Rings," and pointed out, "Their greed for the One Ring continues."
Lee's mention of the undead seems to mock Senior Council Member Bae, who, although having resigned, is still acting as a Supreme Council member as if she is dead but not yet truly dead.
