The Only Reason to Wait for Summer
There is a reason why summer, when the heat is at its peak, is so enjoyable. It’s because of corn, which is in season from July to September. While corn sold year-round at rest stops or markets is good, chasing after JMT trucks in the summer is quite a fun activity. The taste of hot corn eaten while wiping away flowing sweat is a delicacy among delicacies. Perhaps because of this, people tend to seek out more corn-based snacks in the summer, and this year, various snacks have been released that caught the editor’s eye. As a snack-loving editor with the title of “Mukjjang,” I couldn’t miss this opportunity and gathered corn-flavored snacks to taste.

C Conchip Chodang Corn
You can enjoy the iconic corn snack Conchip in the flavor of Chodang corn. (The real name is not Conchip or Conchip, but C Conchip!) The original C Conchip made with roasted corn is combined with sweet and tangy Chodang corn to create C Conchip Chodang Corn, which has a slightly more yellow color like well-ripened corn. Rather than a salty taste, the sweetness characteristic of Chodang corn is enhanced, making it savory yet sweet. If paired with rich and smooth milk, the savory flavor can be experienced even better.
Grilled Corn
Following grilled potatoes and grilled sweet potatoes, Grilled Corn has been released as part of the grilled crop series. The long, thin stick-shaped snack has almost no seasoning on the surface, but bears the charred marks of being grilled on a wire rack. When you open the bag, the savory smell of corn fills the air. The taste in the mouth subtly carries the flavor of sweet and salty butter. However, the mild and sweet taste is stronger than the salty flavor, making it an irresistible snack that disappears quickly once you start eating. The crunchy texture is perfect, leaving no room for any negative points.
Oh Yes Corn
Various flavors such as strawberry, purple sweet potato, and green tea & red bean have been released in a row, but why has Oh Yes Corn appeared only now? The cute packaging, which captures the yellow and green colors of corn, also makes one excited for no reason. The signature square shape of Oh Yes with wavy patterns remains unchanged. Inside, there is plenty of corn cream that seems to capture the color of corn itself. The combination of savory and smooth corn cream with sweet chocolate is harmoniously as expected. Oh Yes can be enjoyed warm by microwaving or as a cold snack by freezing it in the freezer.
I really love corn!♥
