Mokpo Youth Culture Center 'Kkum·Teul' Partnership Ceremony Held

[Mokpo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] The Mokpo City Youth Culture Center held the 2022 Mentoring Activation Support Project "Dream Frame" pairing ceremony on the 16th (Sat) at 3 PM, with 10 university student mentors and 10 middle school mentees participating.

The pairing ceremony, which included mentor pre-education, a greeting from the center director, mentor appointment certificate presentation, mentor-mentee matching, and social time, featured a meaningful moment where mentee students presented mentors with "Mentor Name Woodburning Artworks" they had made themselves before the event.

A mentee youth who participated in the event said, "I really liked being with the warm-hearted mentor teacher, enjoyed today's various activities, and look forward to the times ahead."

A university student mentor stated, "Contrary to my worries, I was able to talk comfortably with the mentee in a relaxed atmosphere, it was a very good time, and I feel a sense of responsibility to be a mentor who positively influences my mentee."

Lee Su-jin, director of the Mokpo City Youth Culture Center, said, "The Mokpo City Youth Culture Center will work harder so that mentors and mentees can have a positive influence on each other and dream happy dreams."

The 2022 Mentoring Support Project "Dream Frame" is a program that connects youths struggling with learning and career issues due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and university students with limited social contribution activities as mentors and mentees, and is planned to be held once a month.
