2022 Gyeongnam Regional Issue Resolution Platform Agenda Implementation Declaration Ceremony

If Residents Find Problems, 민·관·공 Solve Them Together The 2022 Gyeongnam Regional Issue Resolution Platform Agenda Implementation Declaration Ceremony was held.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] Gyeongsangnam-do held the 2022 Gyeongnam Regional Problem-Solving Platform Agenda Execution Declaration Ceremony on the 27th.

The Gyeongnam Regional Problem-Solving Platform is a collaborative system where public institutions provide resources and administrative agencies support to solve regional problems proposed by residents. A total of 88 institutions and organizations within the province participate.

According to Gyeongsangnam-do on the 28th, 19 agendas in 2019, 20 in 2020, and 24 in 2021 have been matched and promoted as collaborative projects. This year, 114 public institutions and 19 execution agendas were selected.

About 50 people attended the declaration ceremony, including Jeong Bo-ju, Chairman of the Gyeongnam Social Innovators Network, Park Il-dong, Director of the Gyeongnam Provincial Government's Autonomous Administration Bureau, Ok Se-jin, Head of the Gyeongnam Social Innovation Promotion Team, and officials from the agenda matching promotion committee institutions.

The attendees pledged to successfully resolve the 19 agendas selected as matching projects among the 200 agendas discovered in the Gyeongnam region this year.

In line with the 2022 national regional problem-solving platform’s strategic agendas of carbon neutrality and local extinction, eight carbon neutrality-related agendas led by the ‘RE100 Citizen Club’ and six local extinction agendas such as the ‘Hamyang Seohadaum Youth Residence Platform Program Operation’ were matched.

Among the carbon neutrality-related agendas, the province reported that Gyeongnam FC, the public design company Ism, and Gyeongnam’s metropolitan self-support centers participated in the ‘Eco-friendly Banner Upcycling that Protects the Environment and Shares Jobs’ project.

Gyeongnam FC uses eco-friendly banners during events, and the discarded banners are delivered to Gyeongnam’s metropolitan self-support centers to be given as gifts to fans or made into goods (planned products) for sale.

Additionally, the declaration ceremony this year was organized with a carbon neutrality theme, replacing panel production with video introductions of the agendas, and handkerchiefs were distributed to reduce the use of disposable tissues.

An official evaluated, “Eco-friendly discarded banners create jobs for goods production, and the sales revenue is used to support vulnerable groups in the Gyeongnam region and youth soccer teams, making it one of the exemplary resource circulation agendas.”

Park Il-dong, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau of the province, said, “We will continuously develop the platform by solving various social problems through resident participation and public-private collaboration, and by advancing and spreading agenda execution.”
