Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam has released a promotional video featuring the Paengnamu tree in Daesan-myeon, which appeared in the drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," through its official YouTube channel "Recommended Changwon."

"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" depicts the survival story of Woo Young-woo, a female lawyer with autism spectrum disorder, at a large law firm. The drama has been a huge hit, combining the excellent acting of the cast with intense courtroom battles and humanism.

In particular, the giant Zelkova tree and the peaceful village scenery of Dongbu Village in Daesan-myeon, Changwon City, the filming location of episodes 7 and 8 titled "Sodeok-dong Story," captivated viewers' attention.

Immediately after the episode aired, the city monitored viewers' reactions in real time and began distributing a card news and producing a YouTube video themed on the Daesan-myeon Zelkova tree the next day, on the 22nd.

Photos of the Zelkova tree taken directly by the city official were disseminated nationwide through the city's official SNS to communities and media outlets, recording 169,000 views. The YouTube video also included information about Daesan-myeon's specialties (watermelon, green chili peppers, oriental melon, melon, etc.), nearby restaurants, and tourist attractions along with the story of the Zelkova tree.
