[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 26th that it has donated the ‘Gimhae Economic Forum Activation Support Fund’ to Gimhae City.
On the afternoon of the 25th, Choi Hong-young, the bank president, visited Gimhae City Hall and presented the ‘Certificate of Donation for the Activation Support Fund of the Gimhae Economic Forum’ to Mayor Hong Tae-yong.
The 30 million KRW support fund donated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank will be used to activate the Gimhae Economic Forum, which is held to enhance the economic knowledge of local businesspeople in Gimhae and to promote regional economic development.
The Gimhae Economic Forum will be conducted until December with lectures on economics, major policies, industry analysis, and economic trends that help business management.
Bank President Choi Hong-young said, “I hope the Gimhae Economic Forum will be helpful to the businesspeople managing small and medium-sized enterprises in the Gimhae area. Furthermore, I hope it will be a meaningful time to strengthen networking among the forum members and enhance corporate competitiveness. We will continue to work together to overcome the regional economic crisis.”
Mayor Hong Tae-yong of Gimhae responded, “I sincerely thank you for donating the support fund to revitalize the local economy and strengthen the competitiveness of local companies. We will use the donated fund well to provide better quality lectures for the activation of the Gimhae Economic Forum, offer opportunities for exchanges among local businesspeople, and support the sustainable growth of companies.”
Meanwhile, prior to donating the Gimhae Economic Forum activation support fund, BNK Gyeongnam Bank delivered electric fans and summer blankets to Gimhae City on the 8th.
