Lotte Department Store Gwangju 'Fall Semester Culture Center' Membership Recruitment

Existing members close on the 27th, new members on the 28th, first-come, first-served

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch announced on the 25th that it will begin recruiting members for the 'Fall Semester Culture Center' program, which will run from September 1 to November 30.

Existing members can apply starting from the 27th, and new members from the 28th, with each registration closing on a first-come, first-served basis.

Under the theme of 'Rebuilding Daily Life Skills,' the last summer semester, which offered various courses at pre-COVID-19 levels, saw a significant increase in customer demand for Culture Center classes that had been sluggish.

In fact, the number of summer semester participants at the Gwangju branch increased by about 40% compared to the previous year. Accordingly, the upcoming fall semester will offer various courses designed to lead participants beyond the recovery of daily life to becoming 'Lifestyle Designers' who create new daily routines.

First, building on the enthusiastic response that led to early full enrollment in the last summer semester, the 'Asia Cultural Travel X ACC Exhibition Docent Tour' program, jointly planned and linked by Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch and the Asia Culture Center, draws attention again this fall semester.

In this course held on November 3, travel writer 'Tae Won-jun' and a dedicated guide from the Asia Culture Center will lead a tour appreciating various Asian travel destinations and unique local cultures.

A humanities concert featuring poetry and music by 'Seomjingang poet' Kim Yong-taek and 'Bawiseom singer' Kim Won-jung is also scheduled for September 30.

This will be a session introducing poetry and music. A 'Wine Tasting Class Tailored to My Taste' with sommelier Kim Gyo-dong will be held on October 7.

Participants will taste wines according to grape varieties during the class and be assisted in selecting wines that suit their preferences.

Additionally, various liberal arts courses for confident self-expression as a lifestyle designer are planned.

Courses such as 'A Humanities Walk with Masterpieces,' conducted over eight sessions, 'Classical Odyssey: Opera,' and 'Writing My Life with an Author' are prepared.

There are also various mindfulness courses to comfort the hearts that have endured the long pandemic period.

Risom, who began senior modeling after the age of 70 and became South Korea's top senior model, will lecture on September 7 under the theme 'How to Live Beautifully, Stylishly, Happily, and Authentically.'

A course on singing bowl meditation, which helps relax the body and mind, will be available on September 25.

The 'Mind Journey with Children' course, which also cares for children's minds, will be held on Sunday, September 4, taught by a psychological therapist affiliated with the Korea Play Therapy Association.

Hong Ki-chang, Sales Planning Team Leader at Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch, said, "We have prepared various lectures through this fall semester Culture Center program to help people newly design their daily lives once again."

Registration for the fall semester Culture Center can be done by visiting the Culture Center on the 11th floor of Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch in person or through the Lotte Department Store internet and mobile websites.
