Wonju-si, Recruiting Tenants for 'Existing Housing Jeonse Lease'

[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] This year, the recruitment of tenants for existing housing rental leases in Wonju-si, Gangwon Province, will be conducted from the 26th to August 3rd.

According to Wonju-si on the 25th, the first priority eligibility for tenants is members of homeless households residing in the project target cities and counties as of the tenant recruitment announcement date (July 11, 2022).

The total number of units to be recruited is 14 households, and eligible applicants include recipients of livelihood and medical benefits under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, single-parent families under protection, and persons with disabilities.

Existing housing rental lease housing refers to housing where the Korea Land and Housing Corporation signs a lease contract with the housing owner after the basic livelihood recipients (livelihood and medical benefit recipients), single-parent families under protection, etc., select a rental house within the support limit amount, and then re-leases it to the tenant.

The lease period is 2 years, and after the initial lease period expires, it can be renewed up to 9 times in 2-year increments.

The announcement of selected tenants is scheduled to be individually notified to the tenants about 15 weeks after the application deadline.
