Morality Restoration: Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok Appointed President of 'Earnest Club' Yoo Jeong-bok, Mayor of Incheon


[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Yoo Jeong-bok, Mayor of Incheon, has been appointed as the inaugural president of the Ernest Club, which aims to restore the morality of society.


Incheon City announced on the 24th that the Ernest Club held its monthly meeting at the National Assembly Members' Office Building on the 23rd and elected Mayor Yoo as its president.


The Ernest Club was founded last month to create an honest society through the restoration of morality, with about 100 participants from religious, political, and media circles, including Pastor Kim Jin-hong and former Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn.


Mayor Yoo, who was appointed as the inaugural president, said in his greeting, "For South Korea to leap forward as a top-tier advanced country, honesty and justice must be restored in our society," adding, "Let us all carry out a sincere movement of truth and honesty together."
