'Dry tooling' is a climbing technique that involves ascending mixed sections such as rock and ice walls, characterized by the use of equipment like ice axes called ice tools, which break ice, unlike general climbing.

This competition was divided into difficulty and speed events. The difficulty event featured men's and women's general divisions and a men's senior division, while the speed event included men's and women's general divisions.

In this competition, a large water bucket was used in the event match. Climbers received water splashes as they overcame obstacles on the wall, allowing spectators to enjoy the coolness simultaneously.
