Jindo-gun Holds Public Officials' Awareness Reform Training in the 8th Elected Administration

Establishing Correct National and Value Perspectives and Proactive Public Official Ideals

[Jindo=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, held a training session on awareness reform and courtesy education for all public officials under the theme "If public officials change their mindset, my life and Jindo-gun will change dramatically" in the large conference room of the county office.

The training held on the 21st aimed to establish a correct sense of national identity and values that public officials of the 8th local government election should possess, and to break away from an individual-centered way of thinking to establish a responsible and proactive public official image centered on the residents.

The lectures were conducted by expert instructors on public official awareness reform, Jo Eun-se (Director of Mokpo National Institute) and Choi Jeon-il (Director of Gwangju National Institute).

The instructors emphasized the importance of correctly establishing the roots and identity of our nation and carrying out public service with an attitude of serving the residents based on the spirit of Hongik Ingan.

They also urged the establishment of a public official image trusted and respected by residents through always using kind and positive language and maintaining integrity in public service, as the effect of positive language is significant.

Kim Hee-su, Jindo County Governor, said, "A positive attitude where public officials strive to change is necessary," and added, "It is important to deeply consider and practice what can be done to serve the residents in the future."

Meanwhile, Jindo-gun plans to continuously conduct awareness education for public officials to promote awareness reform and a change in attitude among public officials of the 8th local government election.
