198-Hole Korean Record Challenge 'Cheolin Golf Tournament' Successfully Concluded

Former Saenuri Party Leader Kim Mu-seong and Provincial Assembly Member Lee Seung-a Attend Certificate of Completion Award Ceremony

198-Hole Korean Record Challenge 'Cheolin Golf Tournament' Successfully Concluded Kim Moo-sung, former leader of the Saenuri Party, is awarding a certificate of completion to Oh Sae-hyun (10), a 4th-grade student at Daheul Elementary School, who completed the 198-hole "Longest Golf Marathon Team Category" as the youngest participant.

[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] The '1st Asia Economy Honam·Jeje Ironman Golf Tournament' successfully concluded over a three-day schedule from the 18th to the 20th.


Out of a total of 47 finishers, Kim Moo-sung, former Saenuri Party leader, and Lee Seung-ah, Chairperson of the Jeju Provincial Council's Culture, Tourism and Sports Committee, attended the completion ceremony to present certificates of completion.


At the completion ceremony celebrating the establishment of the Korean record for the 'Longest Duration Golf Marathon Team Category,' former Saenuri Party leader Kim Moo-sung and Lee Seung-ah, Chairperson of the Jeju Provincial Council's Culture, Tourism and Sports Committee, attended to congratulate the record holders.


Hosted by Asia Economy Honam and organized by Jeje Band, this tournament saw 48 participants challenge 198 holes over three days, with 47 successfully completing the course, setting the Korean record for the 'Longest Duration Golf Marathon Team Category.'


The completion ceremony began at 8 PM when the last team arrived. Along with a congratulatory performance by singer Kim Tae-hwa, former Saenuri Party leader Kim Moo-sung and Jeju Provincial Council Culture and Tourism Committee Chairperson Lee Seung-ah attended to present certificates of completion.


Former Saenuri Party leader Kim Moo-sung presented a certificate of completion to the youngest finisher, 11-year-old student Oh Sae-hyun, saying, "Just as challenges to human limits have advanced humanity, I salute all of you who challenged your limits by completing 198 holes," offering congratulations to the finishers.


198-Hole Korean Record Challenge 'Cheolin Golf Tournament' Successfully Concluded Lee Seung-ah, Chairperson of the Culture, Tourism, and Sports Committee of the Jeju Provincial Council, presented a certificate of completion to Ji-eun Lee (22), who completed the 198-hole golf marathon as the youngest female in the team category for the longest duration.

Lee Seung-ah, Chairperson of the Jeju Provincial Council's Culture, Tourism and Sports Committee, who presented the certificate of completion to the youngest female participant, Lee Ji-eun, stated, "We will spare no support to ensure that the Ironman Golf Tournament, which can contribute to the tourism industry and Jeju's golf industry, continues to be held," and extended congratulations to all 47 finishers.


Meanwhile, Kim Deok-eun, Director of the Korea Records Institute, after awarding the certificates of completion, confirmed that 47 out of 48 participants completed the 198 holes and declared the success of the Korean record for the 'Longest Duration Golf Marathon Team Category.' Subsequently, the Korea Records Institute issued and delivered the Korean record certification to Asia Economy Honam and Jeje Band.
