Jinju-si, 4th Industrial Revolution Smart Education ... Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse, 3D Printer Courses The completion ceremony for the Core Basic Technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution course is being held.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam, is successfully conducting the ‘4th Industrial Revolution Smart Education’ program for youth under the age of 39, which has been in operation since 2020.

This year’s education, promoted through a business agreement with Korea Polytechnic University Jinju Campus, consists of three courses focusing on core basic technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution era: ▲Artificial Intelligence ▲Metaverse ▲3D Printer.

As a result of recruiting trainees from June 2 to 30, the number of applicants exceeded the 20-person quota for each course, reflecting the high interest of young people.

The Artificial Intelligence course, which was the first among the three courses held from the 4th to the 15th, focused on hands-on practice that even non-majors could easily follow, covering big data collection, analysis, and processing using Python, receiving great responses from the trainees.

Also, from the 18th to the 29th, the Metaverse course is being conducted, which includes experiencing the metaverse and creating game content using the game engine (Unity).

Starting on the 25th, the 3D Printer course will be held for five days, where participants can directly model various characters such as animations using 3D graphic programs and produce results through 3D printers.

A trainee who participated in the Artificial Intelligence course said, “It was a meaningful time to actually program big data education, which I usually found difficult,” adding, “I think it will be a great help in finding a job.”

A city official stated, “We plan to continuously expand smart education to strengthen the employment capabilities of young people in preparation for the rapidly changing employment environment.”

Jinju City is recruiting trainees for the ‘Pre-employment Course,’ conducted through a business agreement with Korea Polytechnic University Jinju Campus, Gyeongnam Human Resources Development Committee, and Jinju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, until August 12.

The recruitment courses are ▲5-axis precision machining engineer training course for building smart manufacturing systems ▲Advanced aircraft airframe manufacturer training course based on smart factory (3rd session).

The pre-employment course is completely free, and after completing the training, employment is possible at KAI partner companies. Additionally, trainees will receive a training allowance (400,000 KRW) and a job success allowance (500,000 KRW after 3 months of continuous employment).
