The improvement work on the curved road alignment of Jangbak Hill on Local Road No. 1009 in Cheokjeong-ri, Daega-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam has been completed.

According to Goseong-gun on the 19th, Local Road No. 1009 connects Georyu-myeon, Goseong-eup, Daega-myeon, Yeonghyeon-myeon, and Yeongo-myeon, and is a road frequently used by residents.
Jangbakgogae in Cheokjeong-ri, Daega-myeon, included in the road, had urgent need for improvement due to severe curves, narrow road width, and frequent icing in winter causing frequent traffic accidents.
The county announced that to eliminate the risk of traffic accidents, it consistently requested the Gyeongnam Provincial Road Management Office, the local road management agency, to carry out the "Jangbakgogae Curved Road Improvement Project," and secured 400 million KRW entirely from the provincial budget in last year's supplementary budget of Gyeongnam Province.
Afterward, the project was implemented through administrative procedures such as compensation for expropriated land and determination and modification of the road area, and the alignment improvement work of part of Jangbakgogae road was completed.
A county official anticipated, "Through this construction, the risk of traffic accidents will decrease, providing a safe and pleasant traffic environment for local residents and road users."
County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "We were able to complete the construction based on provincial budget support and active cooperation from local residents," and added, "We will continue to do our best to secure project funds to improve inconvenient or dangerous curved roads and create a safe and convenient road environment."
