On the 15th (Friday), Lotte Construction held a business agreement ceremony with Korea University Aging Society Research Center for the development of a senior town business model aimed at housing innovation and sustainability in a super-aged society.

Through this business agreement ceremony, Lotte Construction plans to apply the differentiated senior services developed to ‘VL Le West’ supplied in the Magok district. In April, the senior services provided by Lotte Hotel at ‘VL OCEARIA’ supplied in Osiria, Gijang-gun, Busan, received favorable reviews from consumers, and the ‘VL Le West’ supplied by Lotte Construction this time will develop and provide even more advanced and differentiated senior services.

The Korea University Aging Society Research Center, which signed the business agreement with Lotte Construction, is an institution under the Korea University Global Japan Research Institute. It offers alternatives to Korean companies, governments, and individuals facing an aging society by researching advanced cases in countries such as the UK, the US, and France that have entered an aged society, as well as trends in East Asia including Japan and China.

Additionally, at the end of last year, the book Senior Trends That Korea Will Enthusiastically Embrace in 2022, published by Business Books, became a bestseller and a hot topic, demonstrating active engagement with the aging society.

A Lotte Construction official stated, “Lotte Construction is striving to expand the supply of high-quality residential facilities for the increasing senior generation entering an aging society, as well as residential services that maximize convenience.” He added, “VL Le West, scheduled for supply this year, is expected to open a new horizon for senior housing by introducing not only Lotte Construction’s differentiated products but also differentiated services through industry-academia cooperation.”

Meanwhile, ‘VL Le West,’ supplied in CP3-1 block within the Magok Urban Development Project District in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, is a senior housing complex for those aged 60 and over, consisting of four buildings from six basement floors to 15 above-ground floors, with 810 units ranging from 51 to 145 square meters in exclusive area.

‘VL Le West’ is part of the Le West project by Lotte Construction within the CP block of the Magok district, which includes senior housing, residential lodging facilities, office facilities, hotels, and conventions. Last year, the residential lodging facility ‘Magok Lotte Castle Le West Residential Lodging Facility’ supplied within the district attracted high interest from consumers with a subscription competition rate of 657 to 1.
