[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Dong-A Socio Holdings announced on the 19th that it has donated 100 million KRW raised through the healthy donation campaign ':D-Style Walking,' which involves participation through walking, to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association.


:D-Style Walking is a non-face-to-face walking donation campaign that donates the steps of Dong-A Socio Holdings employees to places in need of help. This campaign was carried out through the voluntary step donations of employees from all Dong-A Socio Group companies, including Dong-A Socio Holdings, Dong-A ST, and Dong-A Pharmaceutical. A total of 891 employees participated in the campaign during April, achieving a total of 15 million steps.


The donation will be used to support residents affected by the wildfires in the Gangwon and Gyeongbuk regions that occurred in March, as well as firefighters in Gangwon Province. A Dong-A Socio Group official said, “We hope this donation will provide some help to the affected residents,” adding, “Dong-A Socio Group plans to continue the campaign in summer and autumn to deliver campaign donations to places in need.”


Dong-A Socio Group is engaged in various activities to fulfill its social responsibilities. Dong-A Socio Holdings donated funds for the 'Gamasot Heart Campaign' to Sangju Orphanage to help children grow up healthily. Dong-A Pharmaceutical supported sanitary pads through the 'One Tempo Warmer' campaign for low-income female adolescents in Dongdaemun-gu and annually supports sanitary pad donation projects for low-income female adolescents with a portion of the proceeds from sanitary pad sales.
