Kim Mikyung, Eunpyeong District Mayor, Completes First 'Dong Work Report and Pledge Briefing' of the 8th Term

Kim Mikyung, Eunpyeong District Mayor, Tours 16 Neighborhoods to Listen to Residents' Opinions and Present District Administration Directions; Actively Reflects Residents' Suggestions in District Policies Through the Tour

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, successfully concluded the first ‘Dong (Neighborhood) Work Report Meeting and Pledge Explanation Session’ held with the launch of the 8th local government administration.

Eunpyeong District announced that from the 4th to the 12th, it held the ‘2022 Dong Work Report and Pledge Project Explanation Sessions’ by touring 16 dongs (neighborhoods).

This tour was organized as an opportunity to explain the pledges of the 8th local government administration to residents, listen to their opinions, and promote communication and harmony in administration.

The five major goals of the 8th local government administration’s pledges are ▲ New Economy and Transportation Hub Eunpyeong ▲ Eunpyeong, a City Where Anyone Wants to Live ▲ Eunpyeong, a City Good for Raising Children ▲ Eunpyeong, an Inclusive Welfare City for All ▲ Eunpyeong, a Representative City of Culture and Arts, with a plan to implement 30 core task promotion strategies.

Mayor Kim toured the 16 dongs, freely exchanging opinions and communicating with residents about local issues without formality. At the visit sites, related departments directly reviewed residents’ suggestions and shared solutions with the residents.

Through this tour, the district plans to actively reflect the various opinions received from residents in district administration and conduct benchmarking of excellent local governments related to projects to ensure substantial progress in the 8th local government administration’s pledge projects.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District, stated, “Visiting local livelihood sites and communicating with residents is an important duty of the district mayor,” adding, “I will prioritize fulfilling the pledges made to residents during the 8th local government administration and do my best to create a new Eunpyeong.”
