Born in 1971 and relatively 'young,' Mayor Oh has been strengthening communication and increasing contact with residents since taking office in the 8th term of direct elections.


In particular, the atmosphere within the district office is rising due to his consideration for the employees.


On the 15th, Mayor Oh carried out a promotion for grade 5 positions.


For three years, there had been almost no female employees promoted to grade 5, but this time, female public officials were promoted to grade 5.


It is especially noteworthy that this was achieved following Mayor Oh's request for consideration toward female public officials.


Currently, Dobong District is known to have the lowest proportion of female executives at grade 5 or above among the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, at 19%.


The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family recommends that the proportion of female grade 5 officials be around 25%.


Dobong District falls far short of this standard.


Mayor Oh reportedly told the promotees on this day, "Congratulations. Please work even harder for the residents."


Since Mayor Oh's inauguration, the Dobong District Office organization has taken on a younger atmosphere, which employees are reportedly very pleased about.
