[Seoul District News] Seongbuk-gu, 2023 Entrance Exam 'Avengers' Seongbuk-gu Early Admission Strategy Counseling Room Open July 27-29... Six Public Education-Based Admission Experts Provide Personalized 1:1 Counseling
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) is holding the ‘2023 Seongbuk-gu Rolling Admission Strategy College Counseling Room,’ operating a 1:1 rolling admission strategy counseling room for examinees and parents preparing for rolling admissions.
The summer vacation is a very important period for examinees to analyze advantageous rolling admission types and establish admission strategies. However, this year’s examinees are facing difficulties applying for university rolling admissions due to nearly three years of restricted school life caused by COVID-19.
Six current teachers with expertise and rich experience in college guidance (six heads of college guidance departments from six schools, members of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education University Admission Guidance Support Group) will conduct the counseling.
They will consider each examinee’s strengths and various variables such as curriculum, extracurricular activities, essay, and special admissions, comparing the number of admissions, methods, and schedules of desired universities to help find the optimal admission type.
Participants will receive accurate admission information for 40 minutes and receive career and college guidance on selecting universities and departments that match their aptitude and abilities.
Since counseling is conducted in a 1:1 customized manner, participants are advised to bring preparation materials. Bringing personal documents such as school records, self-introduction letters, and mock exam score reports will allow for detailed counseling tailored to their situation.
This counseling room will be held from July 27 to 29, from 1 PM to 6 PM, with 40-minute counseling sessions accompanied by parents.
Applications can be made by time slot on the Seongbuk-gu Office website’s ‘Online Lecture Application’ until 4 PM on July 26.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, “We will continue to provide the latest educational information promptly to raise parents’ information level regarding their children’s career paths such as university entrance and support communication and empathy about career and college guidance at home without sparing any support from the district.”
