Agreement between Ulju-gun and Ulsan Technopark
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education is conducting IoT-based smart farm convergence technology education from the 5th to the 19th, in cooperation with Ulju-gun and Ulsan Technopark.
The education is being conducted for about 10 students at Ulsan Industrial High School's Green Smart Farm.
On March 17, the Ulsan Office of Education signed a business agreement with Ulju-gun and Ulsan Technopark to foster local Green Smart Farm personnel.
This education is the first to be conducted since the agreement and is expected to serve as a foundation for nurturing local high school graduate smart farm talents.
The main educational content includes ▲Understanding of smart farm convergence technology ▲Smart farm kit production ▲Basic structure of control boards and programming ▲Smart farm data control technology.
The education was led by Lee Tae-seong, Technical Director of 'Our's Farm,' the first plant factory under Ulju-gun's smart farm dissemination project.
Students will directly experience smart technology operation, production, cultivation, and maintenance, and through the production activities of the smart farm KIT, they will develop core competencies as future talents, such as automation facilities, sensor and data utilization, and machine learning.
Lee Soon-geol, Governor of Ulju-gun, said, “I believe that the attempt at new and innovative creative and convergence education will be the foundation for securing regional innovation growth engines and creating new jobs,” adding, “We will make further efforts for exchange and cooperation with each institution so that students can grow into regional innovative talents.”
No Ok-hee, Superintendent of Education, said, “I hope the results will lead to employment after the education,” and added, “Since the Office of Education recognizes the importance of future agriculture, we will strengthen cooperation with Ulju-gun and Ulsan Technopark and do our best to support related education.”
