Formation of General Situation Team, Health Management Support Team, and Facility Management Team

Sancheong-gun Forms Heatwave Response TF Team... Full Effort to Prevent Heatwave Damage and Accidents County Governor Lee Seunghwa is visiting a heat relief shelter to conduct an inspection.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has designated the heatwave response period until September 30 and formed and is operating a heatwave response TF team.

The county operates a heatwave response TF team composed of a general situation team, health management support team, and facility management team.

First, to prevent heat-related illnesses among the elderly caused by the heatwave, 220 cooling shelters are being operated.

Vulnerable groups such as the elderly and homeless will be managed and supervised according to protection measures established by each department.

Considering that most heat-related illness cases caused by the heatwave occur among the elderly, the county is actively utilizing disaster helpers such as social workers, voluntary disaster prevention groups, and village chiefs to frequently check on their well-being via phone calls or visits.

In addition, when a heatwave advisory is issued, the county actively informs the public about heatwave action guidelines through village broadcasts, text messages, and street announcements.

The county has also designated the period from the 11th to the 18th as a special inspection period and is conducting a comprehensive inspection of cooling shelters and public and private sector workplaces.

They plan to guide residents and workers on heatwave action guidelines, listen to difficulties, and suggest improvement measures for facility management and issues.

A county official said, “We will continue to strengthen prevention and surveillance activities to do our best in preventing heatwave damage in advance.”
