Daegu Dalseong Tourism, "Now Easier" ... Braille Leaflet Published for the Visually Impaired A braille leaflet published in Dalseong-gun, Daegu, for visually impaired and other tourism-vulnerable groups.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Dalseong-gun, Daegu, has published a 'Braille leaflet' to help visually impaired people, a vulnerable group in tourism, easily understand local tourist attractions.

The newly produced Braille leaflet contains introductions to tourist sites such as Biseulsan Provincial Park and Samunjin Jumak Village in Dalseong-gun, including facilities and travel courses.

In particular, the 'Braille leaflet' is composed of text, Braille, illustrations, and pictograms, and provides detailed information about the tourist sites through QR codes.

The county plans to initially print 600 copies each and distribute them at the Dalseong-gun tourist information center, major tourist spots, related organizations, and tourism fairs to more widely introduce Dalseong-gun as an open tourist destination.

Additionally, sign language promotional videos for the hearing impaired and tactile audio guideboards will be installed at tourist sites to make them accessible and convenient for all visitors.

In May, the county was selected as an excellent open tourist destination and has been promoting infrastructure improvement projects such as installing barrier-free deck roads around Biseulsan and Samunjin Jumak Village, removing level differences within tourist sites, and installing ramps.

Choi Jae-hoon, the head of Dalseong-gun, said, "We will provide various types of tourism information and build barrier-free facilities within tourist sites so that all tourists, including those with disabilities, can enjoy comfortable and pleasant tourism."
