[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting participants for the 'Hope Dream Job' project.
The Hope Dream Job project is a job-seeking initiative promoted by Yongin City to prioritize the selection of economically vulnerable applicants, such as low-income groups, people with disabilities, and those who lost jobs or closed businesses due to COVID-19.
On the 14th, Yongin City announced that it will recruit 480 participants for the Hope Dream Job project by the 27th, targeting citizens facing difficulties in finding employment due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants will work 3 to 5 hours a day from September to December for 3 to 4 months, performing tasks such as guiding entry to city (public) offices, supporting public services, and environmental cleanup projects.
The wage is about 800,000 to 1,200,000 KRW per month (minimum hourly wage of 9,160 KRW).
Citizens who wish to participate can apply by visiting their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center.
A city official emphasized, "We hope this opportunity will bring hope to those experiencing economic difficulties," and added, "We will continue to develop various projects to provide practical support to vulnerable groups."
