Volvik Celeb Duo Match Play "Playing Alongside Gu Bon-gil"

The 1st Volvik Celebrity Duo Match Play (photo) will be held on August 21 at Dongchon Golf Course in Chungju, Chungbuk. This event features 40 celebrities, including professional golfers, athletes, and broadcasters, along with 108 amateur golfers. Unlike previous programs that invited only a few celebrities, this large-scale match play format emphasizes the authenticity and tradition of the golf brand. Professional players such as Heo Seok-ho, Hong Jin-joo, Park Sung-won, and Kim Ye-jin are participating.

Media professionals like Amy Jo, known as the ‘Lesson Master’ who runs a YouTube channel with over 400,000 subscribers, will also appear. Comedian and golf YouTubers Hong In-kyu and Jung Myung-hoon, Pilates goddess Yang Jung-won, golf announcer Hong Jae-kyung, actor Shim Ji-ho, and model Sung Hwi are also members. Star athletes from various sports including baseball players Kim Jae-bak, Park No-jun, Song Jin-woo, Lee Sang-hoon, Jung Geun-woo, Yoon Seok-min; tennis player Lee Hyung-taek; basketball players Woo Ji-won, Kim Seung-hyun; shooter Jin Jong-oh; and fencer Koo Bon-gil will meet their fans.

Currently, 54 amateur teams who will participate with celebrities are being recruited. Applications are open through the website until the 31st. Eligible participants must have a handicap of 95 or below for men and 98 or below for women. Teams consist of two players, one male and one female. The participation fee is 320,000 KRW, which includes green fees, cart fees, caddie fees, refreshments at the pavilion, dinner, and beverages. Participants will receive a welcome package containing a Boston bag, pouch, golf balls, hat, socks, and sunscreen.
