Muan-gun Holds Major Work Plan Report Meeting for the Launch of the 8th Elected Administration


[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Kim San, former governor of Muan County, Jeollanam-do, officially began overseeing county administration on the 12th, starting with a major work plan briefing session for the 8th term of the elected government.


This briefing session was conducted in the form of departmental reports on the first half achievements and second half plans for major pending projects promoted by Muan County.


The reported major pending projects are key initiatives across the county administration, including discovering future food sources for Muan County and expanding living SOC, such as ▲ Establishment of Vision 2040 Muan County Long-term Development Comprehensive Plan ▲ Response to Gwangju Military Airport Relocation ▲ Operation of Makerspace Specialized Lab ▲ Expansion of Together Care Centers ▲ Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Childcare Support Projects ▲ Construction of Namak Youth Culture House ▲ Construction Project of Oryong Complex Cultural Center ▲ Muan-eup Urban Regeneration New Deal Project ▲ Multipurpose Gymnasium Construction Project ▲ Doripo Tourism Attraction Project ▲ Environmental Clean Center Construction ▲ Baekryeonji Arboretum Development Project ▲ Namak Modunuri Open Forest Development Project ▲ K-Food Convergence Industry Complex Development Project ▲ Muan Aviation Specialized Industrial Complex Development Project ▲ Introduction of Foreign Seasonal Workers Project ▲ Hanwoo Calf Brand Promotion Project, among others.


Governor Kim San urged continuous efforts on pending projects, stating, “We must continue to focus our capabilities in the 8th term of the elected government to achieve concrete results for Muan County’s future food source projects, such as the K-Food Convergence Industry Complex and the Aviation Specialized Industrial Complex, which began in the 7th term.” He added, “We will not be complacent with the results of the 7th term but will build on those achievements to make Muan a central hub in the southwestern region in the 8th term.”
