The meeting was held just 10 days after the launch of the 8th local government administration to explore the livelihood sites for overcoming COVID-19.
At the meeting, Shin Sang-yul, President of the Changwon Small Business Association, along with presidents and executives of small business associations from five districts, totaling about 15 people, attended.
The attendees candidly conveyed to Mayor Hong the difficult situations faced by small business owners who have suffered greatly due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and shared various ideas to overcome these challenges.
The Changwon Special City Small Business Association was established in October 2015 based on the Act on the Protection and Support of Small Businesses and is promoting various support measures for small business owners.
Mayor Hong said, “I am well aware that the pain of small business owners due to COVID-19 is greater than anyone else’s. As we begin the 8th local government administration, economic recovery is our top priority. We will strive to create policies that small business owners can truly feel.”
