Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilhyung Lee Starts Communication Administration of the 8th Term with Morning Tea Meeting on the 7th with 20 Audit Department Staff... Plans to Hold Tea Meetings with All Department Employees to Share Governance Philosophy and Communicate
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung started a 'Morning Tea Talk' with all employees from early morning on the 7th to share his administrative philosophy and communicate with the staff who will become the core driving force of the changing Dongdaemun.
This tea talk was initiated based on an idea directly proposed by Mayor Lee to approach the employees first as the 8th elected term began. On the morning of the 7th at 8:30 AM, he had tea time with about 20 employees from the Audit Office inside the government building.
The audit office officials who attended the tea talk said, "Since there are not many opportunities to meet face-to-face with the mayor, it felt a bit difficult at first, but he spoke so enjoyably and warmly that we lost track of time. We were also able to freely express our opinions as persons in charge regarding work, making it a more meaningful and enjoyable occasion."
Starting with this tea time, Mayor Lee will meet with about 20 employees every morning to share the philosophy of the 8th elected term's administrative direction and freely exchange ideas for the changing Dongdaemun.
The tea talks will continue until all employees from every department of Dongdaemun District Office have been met.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun District said, "The owners of Dongdaemun District Office are not the mayor but the employees. If the employees lead the mayor well and unite with him, we can definitely create a better Dongdaemun. We will continue communication administration that approaches not only the residents but also the employees first, and strive to create a Dongdaemun that changes together with the residents and employees."
