Ithanhee: "Yoon Government Only Demands Sacrifice from Common People... Policy Disputes Disappear, Should Not Become a 'Support Squad'"

"President Yoon Suk-yeol, Is He the Support Unit (Seomin Poggi Daetongnyeong)... Ruling and Opposition Should Unite on Measures to Protect Ordinary People"

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] On the 7th, Lee Tan-hee, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, urged President Yoon Seok-yeol, saying, "I hope you do not become a 'Seomin Pogi Daetongryeong (SePoDae)' (a president who gives up on the common people)," and emphasized, "I hope the ruling and opposition parties immediately compete to protect the common people."

On this day, through Facebook, Rep. Lee criticized, "There are forecasts that the economy will become as difficult as during the IMF foreign exchange crisis, but the Yoon Seok-yeol administration is only urging the common people to sacrifice."

Rep. Lee said, "(The Yoon government) has only presented alternatives that seem to give up on the common people, such as 92-hour workweeks, restraint on wage increases, and easing of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act," and criticized, "Since this is a national economic crisis occurring early in the term, the news should be filled with major policy battles between the ruling and opposition parties to overcome it, but it has completely disappeared."

He added, "Behind-the-scenes cuts, the president and first lady's activities, and complaints about the previous administration have taken that place," and pointed out, "Eventually, controversies arose over unofficial aides' overseas trips and the hiring of relatives at the presidential office."

Rep. Lee said, "I want to ask whether those who carefully take care of their acquaintances and relatives have the right to tell the people not to raise wages. Is this Yoon Seok-yeol's version of fairness and common sense?" and stated, "I hope he does not become a SePoDae."
