Yeongyang-gun is conducting a simulation training to prepare for unusual complaints such as assault.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted a training program in collaboration with the police to protect public officials by simulating violent acts by civil petitioners.
On the 5th, Yeongyang-gun held a mock training session at the county office civil petition office to prepare for unusual civil complaints such as verbal abuse and assault by petitioners.
This training was conducted by assuming situations of verbal abuse and assault by petitioners that may occur during civil petition processing, aiming to strengthen systematic and effective on-site response capabilities to unusual civil complaints through realistic training.
The training focused on rapid situation transmission and police dispatch to prevent secondary damage to visiting petitioners, and also included checks on the civil petition officers' familiarity with the response manual and the operation of emergency bells.
O Do-chang, the mayor of Yeongyang-gun, said, “The safety of civil petition officers must be prioritized when unusual civil complaints such as verbal abuse and assault occur in the civil petition office,” and added, “We will do our best to create a safe working environment within the civil petition office.”
