[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] "Thor's adventure is thrilling!"

Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) leaves behind his glamorous superhero days to seek inner peace and self-discovery. The days of flaunting a solid six-pack and muscular physique are long gone; now, he lies on the couch with a bulging belly soaked in potato chips, watching TV. With grown-out hair and rock-and-roll attire, the Thor we knew is no more. He enjoys a sabbatical, finding the happiness he lost while living as a hero.

One day, Gorr the God Butcher (played by Christian Bale) appears, aiming to annihilate all gods in the universe. Filled with vengeance against all gods, Gorr commits massacres, wielding the most evil power and weapons in MCU history, threatening New Asgard.

Thor stops his sabbatical and sharpens himself to face this new threat. Returning as the 'God of Thunder' through grueling training, he reunites with Jane (Natalie Portman), a scientist and his ex-girlfriend. Jane appears as Mighty Thor, wielding Mjolnir, Thor's symbol and powerful weapon. Mighty Thor seeks solutions and carves her own path. When Gorr asks, "Lady Thor?" she confidently replies, "Mighty Thor," "Jane," which is heartwarming.

After seven years of sorrow following their breakup, Thor is taken aback by Jane's transformation into Mighty Thor. The two reflect on their past and look into each other's pain. Thor wields Stormbreaker to deliver even stronger performances, while Team Thor tracks Gorr's trail across the universe.

Following 'Avengers: Endgame,' the Guardians of the Galaxy?leader Star-Lord, Nebula, Mantis, Drax, Rocket, and Groot?who traveled to space with Thor, make a welcome appearance. Matt Damon also makes a surprise cameo as Loki, the stage actor, from the previous film. Each character sparkles with vibrant colors, bringing joy. They fill the story richly and seamlessly, evoking nostalgia for the Marvel series.

Director Taika Waititi's gem-like storytelling shines once again. Having joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with 'Thor: Ragnarok' (2017), he delivers the Thor story everyone wanted in this sequel as if by design. He crafts a lineup of charming characters. The two goats, Tusk Grinder and Tusksnasher, are incredibly lovable. Their bleating remains impressively lingering in the ears. Even the goat heroes' exploits leave a lasting impression. The direction highlights each character's diverse personality and humor. Gorr stands out as the most horrible villain in MCU history, exuding a heavy presence.

This is truly a 'hip Marvel movie.' Marvel's magic shines again. The perfectly balanced entertaining movie follows the classic formula of exhilarating action and feel-good humor. The visuals are outstanding, and even the music is flawlessly cool. I agree with those who say, "I hope Taika Waititi makes all the Marvel movies."

Chris Hemsworth trained for a year to return as Thor. Returning as a gigantic Thor, he plays the upgraded hero role impressively. Natalie Portman also built her physique through combat training, and Tessa Thompson worked hard to increase muscle mass to portray King Valkyrie, the ruler of New Asgard.

Additionally, there is a post-credits scene. It's a movie worth waiting for until the scroll is fully up.
