[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Ourhome's food hall brand Food Empire announced on the 5th that it has launched four new menu items using fermented foods.
Earlier this year, Ourhome Food Empire planned the 'Blue Zone Plate' campaign, which reinterprets the eating habits of the world's five major longevity villages known as the 'Blue Zones.' Following the introduction of a menu featuring healthy ingredients such as oats, almonds, spinach, tomatoes, and garlic under the concept of 'superfoods' in April, this time they plan to help replenish nutrition during the hot summer by utilizing fermented foods like gochujang and cheese.
The newly introduced menu items include ▲Double Cheese Buldak Bansang ▲Perilla Seed Chokae Buckwheat Noodles ▲Corn Cheese King Donkatsu ▲Summer Thai Noodle Salad, totaling four dishes. These menus consider popular tastes and use highly nutritious fermented ingredients such as gochujang, vinegar, and cheese that contribute to health. The fermented food menu is available at six locations, including Food Empire IFC Mall branch.
An Ourhome official stated, "With tropical nights and record-breaking heatwaves forecasted this summer, we have launched menus using fermented foods that stimulate appetite while enhancing health and immunity," adding, "Through the Blue Zone Plate campaign, we will continue to develop healthy new menus that consider both taste and nutrition."
