Daewoong Pharmaceutical Hyangnam Plant Develops 14 Safety and Health Management Models
Contributing to 3 Years of Accident-Free Achievement
Hwang Jeong-ho, Job Manager at Daewoong Pharmaceutical (right), is receiving the Tower Order of Industrial Service Merit award for contributions to industrial accident prevention.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 5th that Hwang Jeong-ho, Job Manager of the Hyangnam Production Management Team, received the Iron Tower Industrial Medal for Industrial Accident Prevention Merit at the '55th Industrial Safety and Health Day' ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
With 17 years of experience in manufacturing safety and health, Job Manager Hwang developed and introduced 14 unique safety and health management models exclusive to Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Hyangnam Plant in preparation for the Serious Accident Punishment Act implemented this year. Through this, he was recognized for contributing to the achievement of zero accidents at Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Hyangnam Plant over three years since 2019.
Job Manager Hwang said, “It was not easy to establish a differentiated yet effective safety and health management system, but I want to share the honor of this award with my colleagues in Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Production Headquarters who trusted and worked together with me,” adding, “I hope to contribute to creating a safer and healthier production environment by spreading the successful safety and health management model established at the Hyangnam Plant throughout the Daewoong Group.”
Jeon Seung-ho, CEO of Daewoong Pharmaceutical, said, “We are pleased that Job Manager Hwang's contribution to establishing the safety and health management system at the Hyangnam Plant and his dedication to safety and health have been recognized with the Iron Tower Industrial Medal for Industrial Accident Prevention Merit,” and added, “Daewoong Pharmaceutical will continue to comply with industrial safety-related laws such as the Serious Accident Punishment Act and strive to protect workers.”
