Experience Marine Healing This Summer in Clean Wando

Operation of Marine Healing Experience Zone from the 22nd of This Month to the 15th of Next Month

[Wando＝Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, is operating a marine healing experience zone with the theme of ‘Summer, Sand, and Rest’.

According to the county on the 4th, the experience zone will be held for 25 days from the 22nd to August 15th at Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach for residents and vacationers.

The experience zone is operated at Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach, which has acquired the ‘Blue Flag,’ an international certification given only to eco-friendly beaches, in line with the opening of the beach every year.

At the experience zone, various programs such as Nordic walking using the marine climate, Pilates, singing bowl meditation, tea meditation, and beach exercises are conducted.

The detailed schedule includes five activity programs such as Nordic walking from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., natural soap making using shells from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., therapy product experiences using yuzu and mud, and seaweed eye patch experiences from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. These are conducted by time slot, while sand therapy and marine healing beverage tasting can be freely enjoyed at any time.

Participation in the ‘Summer, Sand, and Rest’ marine healing experience zone is open to local residents, vacationers, and groups.

Applications can be made in advance to the Marine Healing Support Team of the Marine Healing Division or on-site registration is possible at Sinji Myeongsashipri Beach starting from the 22nd.

A county official said, “The marine healing program is receiving great responses from participants,” and added, “We hope everyone can have a time to heal their body and mind at the clean beach this summer.”
