Abko Secures Two Orders for Green Smart School Charging Lockers... "Cumulative Orders of 13.1 Billion KRW in the First Half"

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] ABKO, a new life platform specialist company centered on gaming gear, has secured orders worth a total of 13.1 billion KRW in the charging locker sector of the digital textbook business in the first half of this year. It is expected to easily achieve the annual target of 30 billion KRW.

On the 4th, ABKO announced that it was selected as the supplier of charging lockers for the smart device distribution projects in the Busan and Daejeon regions. Following the orders won earlier this year in Chungcheongnam-do, Jeollanam-do, and Gangwon-do regions, the company is expanding its supply to elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide.

The distributed charging lockers are products necessary for simultaneously charging and storing multiple educational smart devices within classrooms. The Green Smart School is one of the five major tasks of the Korean New Deal policy, aimed at creating a digital education environment.

ABKO’s ‘PadBank’ is equipped with overcharge prevention and safety circuits, featuring a fully integrated automatic charging solution. Additionally, it is the only product in Korea to apply an FDA medical device-grade COVID-19 sterilizer, receiving excellent evaluations from related institutions and frontline personnel.

An ABKO representative stated, “As the smart device distribution project enters a full-fledged blooming period, substantial orders continue from various local education offices. We have secured a total of 13.1 billion KRW in orders through the first half of the year and expect to achieve cumulative orders reaching 30 billion KRW by the end of the year.”

He added, “In the second half of the year, along with the full-scale progress of the project, a favorable business environment will continue in the gaming gear sector as well. Due to reopening and normalization of the industry, increased demand for replacement of gaming PCs and peripherals, and the growth of the e-sports and home gaming markets, we expect to recover the previously stalled growth trend.”
