Lunit Supplies AI Analysis Solution to Bumrungrad Hospital in Thailand

[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Medical artificial intelligence (AI) company Lunit recently announced on the 4th that it has signed a contract with Fujifilm Thailand and Microsoft (MS) to supply AI image analysis solutions to Bumrungrad International Hospital located in Bangkok, Thailand.

Under this contract, Lunit will supply the AI-based chest X-ray image analysis solution 'Lunit Insight CXR' and the mammography image analysis solution 'Lunit Insight MMG' to Bumrungrad International Hospital in collaboration with Fujifilm. Additionally, Lunit will actively cooperate with Microsoft to provide AI medical services at Bumrungrad Hospital using the global cloud computing platform 'Microsoft Azure.'

Bumrungrad International Hospital is the largest general hospital in Southeast Asia, treating more than 1.1 million patients annually from over 190 countries. Since its establishment in 1980, it has provided world-class medical services for over 40 years. Lunit began pilot operations by installing Lunit Insight products at Bumrungrad Hospital in October last year. Once fully utilized, it will analyze more than 100,000 medical images annually within the hospital.

As the utilization of AI solutions gradually increases, Bumrungrad Hospital plans to actively use Lunit products not only in the screening process but also in intensive care units and emergency rooms, continuously providing advanced medical services through AI throughout Southeast Asia.
