Emart announced on the 4th that it will launch the 'End of Price' project to ease the burden of living expenses for the public. The goal is to establish the perception that "shopping at Emart is the cheapest and definitely beneficial" by maintaining the lowest daily prices compared to large mart H·L companies and large online mall C company prices.

Emart stated, "We will provide 40 essential product items such as eggs, rice, milk, toilet paper, and toothbrushes at an average price reduction of 13.3%, maintaining the lowest prices at all times," adding, "This is a measure to stay true to the essence of the large mart business, which is to supply necessary products to consumers at low prices amid growing concerns about prolonged inflation." The company explained that this lowest price policy is focused on continuous implementation rather than a one-time event. Emart said, "We will expand the lowest price policy until the end of the year and extend it if the high-price situation does not subside."

The first phase of Emart's 'always lowest price' policy, the price reduction of '40 essential products,' will be implemented equally at Emart stores and SSG.com Emart Mall (based on store delivery products), regardless of online or offline channels. Emart selects essential product groups that customers frequently consume and use daily and supplies representative products in each category at the industry's lowest prices. These products will be sold cheaper than other large marts (H company, L company online mall prices) and large online malls (C company rocket delivery prices). Emart plans to maintain the lowest prices at all times by conducting daily price monitoring and implementing additional price reductions.

The 40 essential products consist of 17 processed foods such as milk and kimchi, 7 fresh foods such as eggs and onions, and 16 daily necessities such as toilet paper and soap. Emart explained that it will leverage its long-accumulated purchasing competitiveness to manage the lowest prices. The company said, "We will maintain the lowest prices for many products by purchasing major items in bulk and diversifying sourcing regions."

Among the main products, Alchanran (30 eggs) will be reduced from the previous 7,400 won range to the 6,700 won range. Onions (3 pieces) will be priced below 1,000 won, a reduction of about 45%. Rice (Yeoju rice Jinsang 10kg) will be lowered to the 29,000 won range. Emart expects that the price reduction of major ingredients will ease the burden not only for households but also for small restaurants.

Additionally, prices of Coca-Cola (1.8ℓ), Seoul Milk (1ℓ), Shin Ramyun (5 packs), and CJ Hetbahn (210g, 12 packs) have also been lowered. Air freshener Febreze (for restroom, 2 packs) and Median Dual Action Toothbrush (5 packs) are sold at prices about 30-50% cheaper than before. Overall, the prices of all products in the 40-item category have decreased by an average of 13.0% compared to before.

Besides the 'lowest price for essential products,' Emart will actively respond to prices to reduce customer burdens. Separately from the 40 items, 500 products will be selected and managed for the lowest prices on a weekly basis. Price reductions will also be planned for representative products with high sales in each season. Starting July 14, every two weeks, the top 10 products with rapidly rising prices among high-demand items will be selected and priced at the lowest prices.

Heeseok Kang, CEO of Emart, said, "We are launching the 'End of Price' project to ease the burden on customers worried about high prices," adding, "Through continuous lowest price management, we will firmly deliver the message to customers that 'when you go to Emart, you can buy essential products like kimchi and eggs at the cheapest prices.'"
