‘Returned Golf Emperor’ Woods "Back in Ireland After a Month and a Half"..."Clash with LIV Golf?" Tiger Woods will make an appearance at the JP McManus Pro-Am after a month and a half.

[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] He will appear in front of fans after a month and a half.

This is the story of the "Returned Golf Emperor" Tiger Woods (USA). On the night of the 4th (Korean time), he will participate in the JP McManus Pro-Am held at Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland. This tournament is an unofficial event held over two days. Woods took a break after withdrawing from the PGA Championship, a major on the PGA Tour, in May, and gave up his third major US Open participation last month. Fortunately, his physical condition has recovered, and he will participate in the JP McManus Pro-Am as scheduled.

Following this tournament, Woods will compete in the final major, The Open, which begins on the 14th at the Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland. His physical condition and performance level are expected to be revealed through this JP McManus Pro-Am. Woods suffered a critical injury in February last year when he was involved in a car rollover accident, shattering his right shin. Through superhuman rehabilitation, he appeared in two majors, the Masters and the PGA Championship, in April.

He announced his comeback by advancing to the main rounds in both tournaments, but during the PGA Championship, he withdrew after the third round, saying "my leg hurts too much." Recently, he appeared at a junior golf tournament to support his son Charlie. Woods is eagerly looking forward to participating in The Open. Especially this year marks the 150th Open, held at the Old Course in St Andrews, known as the "Home of Golf," which adds to Woods' enthusiasm.

Woods won The Open held at St Andrews in 2000 and 2005. In particular, in 2000, he won by 8 strokes ahead of the second place. Woods will start the first round at 10:05 PM that night. In addition to Woods, many world-class golf players will participate. 'PGA Tour stalwarts' Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Jon Rahm (Spain), Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay, and Collin Morikawa (all from the USA) will compete.

Players from the LIV Golf Invitational Series, sponsored by Saudi Arabian capital, will also participate. World No. 1 Dustin Johnson, "Hulk" Bryson DeChambeau, and "Major Hunter" Brooks Koepka (all from the USA) are also on the entry list. These players joined LIV Golf for large sums of money despite the PGA Tour's suspension sanctions. This is the second time PGA Tour players and LIV Golf players compete in the same tournament since the US Open.

The tournament is conducted in a format where one professional player and three amateurs form a team. Professional players determine their rankings through 36 holes of stroke play over two days, and team scores are separately calculated for teams consisting of one professional and three amateurs. American actor Bill Murray, former England Tottenham football manager Harry Redknapp, Ukrainian football hero Andriy Shevchenko, and former England national football team player John Terry will also participate.
