Renault Korea Motors, Total Sales of 12,011 Units in June

Domestic 7,515 Units, Export 4,496 Units

[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors announced on the 1st that it achieved a total sales performance of 12,011 units last month, with 7,515 units sold domestically and 4,496 units exported.

The mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) QM6 led Renault's domestic sales performance in June by selling 4,386 units, a 24% increase compared to the same period last year. The QM6 LPe, the only LPG SUV model in Korea, sold 2,754 units, accounting for about 63% of total QM6 sales, proving the unwavering customer interest.

The coupe-style SUV XM3 sold 2,596 units, a 65.9% increase compared to the same period last year. The mid-size sedan SM6 sold 389 units, a 104.7% increase compared to the same period last year, marking more than double the sales for two consecutive months compared to the same month last year.

Renault brand models recorded a total sales performance of 144 units, including 143 units of the Master and 1 unit of the Zoe.

Renault Korea Motors' exports in June included 3,832 units of the XM3 (export name Renault New Arkana), reaching a total cumulative export of 101,900 units. The XM3 surpassed 100,000 units exported within 8 months after reaching 50,000 units exported 16 months after its first export in early November last year. About 60% of the total cumulative exports, 59,435 units, are hybrid models scheduled to be launched in the domestic market this fall. The XM3 has received high praise from experts in its main export market, Europe, and was recently selected as the best hybrid car of 2022 by British consumers. The E-TECH hybrid technology applied to the XM3 was developed by incorporating hybrid technology know-how used in the Renault Group's F1 machines, characterized by high energy efficiency and dynamic driving performance. Additionally, EV mode driving is possible in certain urban sections.
