The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on the 1st that they received a report of the death of a woman in her 30s, identified as Ms. A, who was undergoing liposuction.

Ms. A fell into a critical condition around 3:50 PM on the 30th at a clinic located in Gangnam-gu and was transferred to another hospital, but she was reported to have died.

A police official stated, "It is necessary to conduct further investigation to determine whether there was any medical malpractice," adding, "An autopsy is scheduled for next week."
