Daegu Catholic University’s Park Sun-hyun and Daegu University’s Lee Su-mi Receive Awards
Daegu Catholic University held the "1st Korea-China Speech Contest" commemorating the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations on the 24th of last month at the Opera House annex and is taking a commemorative photo.

At the event, 13 students from universities in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, including Daegu Catholic University, Kyungpook National University, and Yeungnam University, attended in person, while 16 students from Zhengzhou University of Light Industry (Zhengzhou Gongye Daxue) in China participated online, competing in Chinese and Korean language skills.
The Vice Consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Busan and professors from Chinese language departments of universities in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions served as judges. Kim Hee-su from Keimyung University received the Chinese Consulate General in Busan Special Award, and Park Sun-hyun from Daegu Catholic University and Lee Su-mi from Daegu University received the Korea-China Friendship Award from the Chinese Consulate General in Busan.
Riu Keo, head of the Chinese Language and Chinese Studies Department at Daegu Catholic University, said, "A meaningful event was held to revitalize exchanges between the two countries on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations," adding, "We will continue to expand the scale and participation of the event to operate it as a representative event for Korea-China exchanges."
