No.1 Domestic TopToon Hit Series to Debut on Japanese Platform

[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Topco Japan, established in January as a 100% subsidiary of Topco Media, announced that it will grand open its platform for Japanese readers on the 1st after building it in just six months.

Since 2018, TopToon has distributed its works through over 100 major Japanese platforms such as Comic Cmoa, Mecha Comic, Renta, and Manga Kingdom. TopToon's works have made a significant impact in Japan, with hit titles ranking first in long-term popularity across multiple platforms, recording total sales of 47 billion KRW through major online bookstores last year. During the one-month beta service in June, it also showed growth indicators 5 to 6 times higher compared to other countries.

To coincide with the grand opening, TopToon prepared a total of 154 works including webtoons and manga, and 35 exclusive new titles that could not be found in Japanese bookstores were released only through TopToon Japan. Additionally, manga in the familiar Japanese publishing comic format is prepared with the same episodes as other online bookstores, allowing readers to experience TopToon's past, present, and future all in one place.

A company representative stated, “We plan to open up to 150 exclusive TopToon works within this year, and also strengthen our manga lineup with more than 200 titles.”
