Jeonnam Fire Department, July 1 Promotion and Transfer Appointment Ceremony

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Kim Joil) announced on the 30th that it held a commissioning ceremony for those promoted and transferred to Fire Captain and Fire Lieutenant on the 30th.


Jeonnam Fire conducted personnel appointments as of July 1, appointing 11 Fire Captains (3 promoted, 8 transferred) and 33 Fire Lieutenants (10 promoted, 23 transferred), considering fire administration operations and job performance capabilities.


Fire Captains serve as fire station chiefs for each city and county, overseeing command at disaster sites within their jurisdiction. Fire Lieutenants serve as section chiefs at fire stations, assisting the fire station chief.


The ceremony was attended by 11 Fire Captains and 10 promoted Fire Lieutenants, during which the Fire Headquarters Chief presented the commissioning certificates and handed command batons to the newly appointed fire station chiefs.


Chief Kim Joil said, “The role of fire commanders is to ensure that staff can operate safely at disaster sites,” and added, “Please strive to become the best commanders you can be.”
