[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Ddeuranchae, a representative Korean traditional set menu restaurant in the Gwangju area, donated 10 million KRW as a development sponsorship to Jeonnam National University Hospital.
According to Jeonnam National University Hospital on the 30th, the sponsorship donation ceremony was attended by Hospital Director Ahn Young-geun, Ddeuranchae representatives Oh Bok-ja and Oh Bok-sil, Secretary General Kim Young-min, External Cooperation Director Joo Sung-pil, Medical Cooperation Director Kang Taek-won, and other hospital officials.
Representative Oh Bok-ja said, “Both of my parents received treatment at Jeonnam National University Hospital and we have been indebted to them. For 15 years, hospital staff have frequently used our restaurant, giving us a lot of love. Although there were difficult times due to COVID-19, thanks to Jeonnam National University Hospital, we overcame them well, so we decided to contribute a little to the hospital’s development.”
Hospital Director Ahn Young-geun said, “They always serve delicious food, so it is a restaurant I can visit with a joyful heart every time. We will use the donation carefully for the development of Jeonnam National University Hospital, especially considering the difficult circumstances.”
Meanwhile, Ddeuranchae, a Korean traditional set menu restaurant located in Namdong, Dong-gu, has been leading the development of Namdo’s food culture for 15 years. In 2020, it also sent encouragement gifts such as rice cakes and fruits to the staff of Jeonnam National University Hospital who were exhausted from COVID-19.
