[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] OB Beer announced on the 30th that it will launch a premium sparkling beer called 'OMJ (OB Multi Grain, OMG)'.
OMG is a premium sparkling beer made using carefully selected brown rice, barley, and rye to create a savory flavor. It features a rich nutty aroma and a smooth refreshing sensation the moment the can is opened. The product name indirectly reflects the planning intention that consumers can enjoy an "Oh My God" surprisingly savory taste after drinking the product. The alcohol content is 4.5%.
The product packaging uses a yellow background symbolizing grains and applies the Lala Bear character from the OB Lager brand to emphasize the lively image unique to sparkling beer. OB Beer plans to carry out various marketing activities highlighting OMG's distinctive savory flavor and Lala Bear's cheerful image.
The new product will be produced in 500ml cans at OB Beer's Icheon factory and will be available at large supermarkets and convenience stores starting early July. The price is 2,000 won at convenience stores.
An OB Beer official said, "We are introducing the premium sparkling beer OMG, which boasts high-quality taste proven through prior consumer research," adding, "We will contribute to expanding the base of the sparkling beer market with a product that offers more differentiated taste and quality."
