Earn 10 Won per Minute Proportional to Ddarungi Usage Time, Up to 3,000 Won Monthly 'hy Fredit' Points
Promoting Bicycle Use and Benefits Through Private Collaboration
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government and hy (formerly Korea Yakult) announced on the 30th that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last April to promote bicycle use and increase the number of citizens using Ddareungi, and will hold the ‘Ddareungi×Fredit’ event for Ddareungi users for six months from July to December.
Users of Ddareungi only need to verify their membership on the hy Fredit app and then use Ddareungi. Fredit points will be awarded proportionally to usage time, with 10 points per minute of Ddareungi use, up to a maximum of 3,000 points per month. Accumulated points can be checked on the Fredit app and can be used on the Fredit app and website.
Various benefits are also prepared for participants. hy will provide an initial 2,000 KRW eco-friendly coupon to verified Ddareungi members and plans to select 111 people each month to receive coffee coupons based on usage time. In the second half of the year, statistics such as the monthly number of Ddareungi uses, usage time, and travel distance will be used to select challenges, and when these challenges are achieved, hy products will be donated to socially vulnerable groups such as transportation-disadvantaged people. Depending on the collaboration results such as the expansion of Ddareungi users, Ddareungi mobile tickets, bicycle safety products, and others will be purchased and used for joint campaigns.
Baekho, Director of Urban Transportation at the Seoul Metropolitan Government, said, “As Ddareungi members exceed 3.5 million, which is one-third of Seoul citizens, and it is a representative transportation welfare project loved by citizens, we will continue to promote various convenience services based on close cooperation with private companies.”
