[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] POSCO Gwangyang Steelworks Process Quality Division (Deputy General Manager Kim Seong-jun) announced that on the 27th, it held a business agreement ceremony with the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled, Gwangyang Branch, to contribute to the local community.

The agreement ceremony was attended by Kim Seong-jun, Deputy General Manager of the Gwangyang Steelworks Process Quality Division, Park Hyun-seok, President of the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled Gwangyang Branch, as well as executives and employees of Gwangyang Steelworks and related personnel.

The Gwangyang Steelworks Process Quality Division and the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled Gwangyang Branch signed a business agreement to cooperate in creating an inclusive society by improving the quality of life for physically disabled people in the region and spreading a culture of sharing.

This agreement ceremony holds significant meaning as the executives and employees of the Process Quality Division will provide welfare services that are practically needed by local physically disabled people and play a leading role in ensuring human dignity.

In particular, based on this business agreement, in addition to existing laundry and cleaning volunteer services, they plan to support emotional health through one-on-one customized volunteer activities such as △being a "one-day son" △enjoying outings together in nearby areas △sharing hobby activities.

Kim Seong-jun, Deputy General Manager of the Gwangyang Steelworks Process Quality Division, who participated in the agreement ceremony, expressed gratitude, saying, “I am thankful for the precious opportunity to serve and dedicate myself to the physically disabled people in the region through the meaningful connection with the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled Gwangyang Branch,” and added, “I will continue this relationship with sincere consideration from the heart.”

Park Hyun-seok, President of the Jeonnam Association for the Disabled Gwangyang Branch, said, “I thank everyone who participated in the agreement ceremony for the disabled people of Gwangyang City,” and added, “We ask for your continued interest so that this can be carried out as a continuous event rather than a one-time occasion.”

Meanwhile, Gwangyang Steelworks is actively practicing its corporate citizenship management philosophy by carrying out various social contribution activities for local disabled people, including ▲providing exercise equipment ▲supporting baking and pastry education ▲laundering and delivery services for large laundry items ▲nurturing bowling athletes.
