Setting a Milestone for Future Education! ... Ulsan Office of Education Holds the 11th Ulsan Education Council Regular Meeting Ulsan Office of Education.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education held the "11th Ulsan Education Council Regular Meeting" on the 28th. About 30 people, including members of the Ulsan Education Council and officials in charge of education office projects, attended the regular meeting.


At the meeting, they reviewed how the advice from two rounds of subcommittee consultations on seven agenda items, including measures to establish the high school credit system on-site, is reflected in policies and exchanged opinions on points to be supplemented.


Key advisory agenda items by subcommittee included, in the Future-Oriented Value Education Subcommittee, discussions on ▲measures to establish the high school credit system on-site ▲activation plans for the operation of the Student Human Rights Support Center.


Participants proposed promoting out-of-school class cases to generalize excellent high school credit system programs, educational institutions linked with the local community, human rights awareness sensitivity education for teachers, and clarifying the qualifications of members of the Student Human Rights Relief Committee.


In the Local Community Education Subcommittee, they discussed ▲local community linkage plans for climate crisis response and ecological environment education ▲strengthening the capacity to live together through inclusive education ▲activation plans for village education communities.


During the discussion, proposals included climate crisis response programs that can be conducted with the local community and the establishment of local councils, reflecting performance evaluation indicators to activate the operation of individualized education support teams, the need to select employment institutions (demand sites) and tasks centered on special education demanders, and improving website accessibility to revitalize village schools.


In the School Innovation Education Subcommittee, agenda items such as ▲spreading school innovation culture through the operation of Seorona Sharing Schools ▲plans to enhance student-centered classes were discussed.


Participants requested in the discussion to actively reflect improvements from the qualitative analysis related to the first term of Seorona Sharing Schools in the second term project, share successful experiences through detailed analysis of project classes, and check preparations for normalizing project classes after COVID-19.


Yoo Jong-seon, chairman of the Ulsan Education Council, said, "I hope that the agenda discussed at the Ulsan Education Council will lead to policies that become the foundation for promoting educational policies trusted by citizens and empathized with by the education community."
